Forth & Endrick Province Trophy 2006-2007

There were 8 teams playing - West Stirlingshire Ladies, Drymen, Fintry, Strathendrick, Balfron, Loch Ard, Castle and Forest Hills Trossachs.
The ice was very fast and very consistent - greatly enjoyed by all.
The FHTCC team was Eileen, Margaret, Robert and Betty. We peeled with Castle in the morning and then had to face Balfron with Grant skipping. FHT pulled out all the stops and ended up winning by 8-3, with 5 ends. At the end of Saturday we were lying second with 3 points and 10 ends.
On Sunday we then had to play Loch Ard, last year's winners, who had lost to Balfron and beaten Castle We had a really enjoyable game with lots of good curling but they were a bit too powerful for us and we lost 13-3, winning only one end. After that we were lying 5th.
We then had to play Balfron again, and Grant got revenge with FHT losing 8-2 with only 2 ends. Overall we came 7th.
The fourth game was between Strathendrick who had won all three games and were on 6 points, 18 ends and +30 shots and Loch Ard on 4 points, 16 ends + 21 shots.
Loch Ard dominated and ended up by winning 13-5, with 6 ends.

Runners up Strathendrick 6 points, 20 ends, +22 shots, 42 total shots
Third Drymen 5 points, 16 ends, -1 shot, 33 total shots
Loch Ard go forward to play in the National Province Championships at Greenacres on 17th - 19th November. Go along and support them if you can.
